With a small shop inside of the restaurant, you can find many mindful beauty products as well as probiotic foods and designer gifts for you to take home. (And of course, our cookbook, too!) By café is right across from the famous Tegallalang Rice Terrace. The small café is a gem. Friendly staff and chill music, the café is on the second floor, which gives you a beautiful view over the rice terrace, and the restaurant usually isn’t crowded despite being at a touristy spot. We recommend their lasagna (recipe) with garlic curry mayo and cashew vegan cheese! Layered with grilled tofu, eggplant and zucchini – A refreshing taste!
Earth Café & Paradiso Ubud
Earth Café & Paradiso Ubud is restaurant, organic market, a community space and the first vegan cinema in the world. Besides daily events, classes and open mic with half price lunch menu, you also get to enjoy a movie while enjoying delicious vegan dishes from their extensive menu. We recommend their Planet Platter – A nutritious, balanced meal that contains brown rice, seaweed, pickled salad, greens & beans and their protein delight of the day!
The only local warung on this list, mama Prima’s food is many Ubudians’ daily staple. There’s no menu but a simple filling meal nasi campur style (rice with several small side dishes.) The ingredients are fresh, locally sourced each morning. Moringa, urap (Indonesian salad), sautéed eggplants, mushrooms, bitter gourd with tofu, Balinese corn fritters … And you’ll definitely want to get extra mung bean satay and her golden cake once you have a taste of it!
Open from breakfast to dinner, Sage is mostly Mexican inspired but also offers a mix of international flavors. This alcohol-free plant-based restaurant is only 15 minutes ride from the center of Ubud. The space is quaint with cozy interior design, nice fine seating, warm lighting and great atmosphere – It’s a perfect spot for a date night. We recommend their Teriyaki Bowl – fresh mixed vegetables including broccoli, bokchoy, carrots along with tempe sticks coated with black sesame and brown rice!

About 20 minutes away from Ubud, Sakti is an upscale dining in a boutique healing resort sits between the sacred Ayung River, lush tropical pond and gardens, Sakti Dining Room offers a tranquil, fine dining environment.
